Vacuum Valves are used to prevent pipeline bursts, as a result of air intake failure in the start-up of the system, and water hammer that can form during the operation by column separation. These valves consist of a body which holds a door that is attached to a lever & weight. The door and lever & weight are balanced and the door can open/close freely. This allows the valve to act very fast to a pressure change in the system. In case of a vacuum situation due to several reasons, the door is moved down, allowing huge amounts of air to the system, decreasing the affects of vacuum. When the critical conditions pas and water flows inside the valve, due to high pressure coming from the inlet of the valve, the door closes drip tight. DVD Vacuum Valves can be produced in large sizes, therefore it allows the valve to intake huge amounts of air that can not be compared to any other standard air valve in the industry. Vacuum Valves are not suitable to use for discharging air from the system. DVD Air Valves can be manufactured from GG25, GGG40 – 40.3 – 50, GSC25, SS304, SS316 and NAB materials.
